Now we are starting in IJmuiden 🙂
Of course i arrived there by ferry, we’are all entusiasts aren’t we? 🙂 When i got off ferry first thing i thought about was if it really was the land of bikes and tulips as everyone says.
Then i found myself in Amsterdam, and my first thought was “Is it true there are more bikes than people here?” Any anwsers? The right one is.. yes! Bikes were literally everywhere, of course i had to rent one to blend in haha. Cycling along the canals, showed me how bike-friendly the city was. It felt amazing to pedal through the streets, exploring the city from the Royal Palace to the bustling Albert Cuyp Market.
After Amsterdam, I went to Rotterdam. I had heard about its modern architecture, but seeing the Cube Houses in person was something else. They were like nothing I’d ever seen, tilting in ways that defied my sense of balance.
The highlight of my trip, though, was catching a Feyenoord match. As myself, big football fan and person that is interested some way in Dutch leauge, I was sooo happy! The stadium’s atmosphere was electrifying, with fans singing and cheering throughout the match. It was more than a game; you have to check out on your own! wow..
Through my travel, I kept asking locals for recommendations, that lead me to hidden gems like a small cafe in Utrecht and a quiet beach near Haarlem. Each place had its story, contributing to a mosaic of experiences that defined my trip.
As I returned to IJmuiden for my ferry back, I thought about my whole trip. But what really amazed me was how lucky I was to find myself at a Feyenoord match, literally from a random event!
