Malaga offers its visitors sunny days all year round, so it is an ideal place for a short weekend getaway!

What to see while in Malaga?
Alcazaba – a pearl of Mauritanian architecture
When in Malaga, you must definitely visit Alcazaba, which is an old Moorish palace-fortress overlooking the city and the port. Alcazaba is one of the best preserved monuments. It is a place with beautiful gardens, courtyards and well-preserved defensive walls.
Castle of Gibralfaro
Another place on our map that is worth visiting is Gibralfaro Castle near Alcazaba, built on a hill above Malaga. In the old days, it served as a defensive structure for the nearby Alcazaba and provided shelter for the army. From the castle walls you can enjoy beautiful views of the city, the port and the coast of the Costa del Sol. This is the perfect place for a unique photo!
Picasso Museum
For art connoisseurs, the Picasso Museum is a must. The museum is located in a beautiful palace where we can admire not only paintings, but also things related to the life of Picasso.
Malagueta Beach
Malaga is famous for its beautiful beaches! When going to the Costa del Sol, we must definitely go to one of them. We recommend the beach Playa de la Malagueta, which is known for its golden sand. Due to its location close to the city center, it is an ideal place for a moment of relaxation after an intensive sightseeing of the city.
Málaga – cuisine
Malaga is the perfect place for those who like good food ; -). Andalusia is famous for its simple, but also tasty dishes. And here are a few dishes that are really worth a try!
The first dish is grilled sardines called espetos. This is a typical dish that you will find in seaside restaurants called chiringuitos. The sardines are roasted on an open fire, which gives them a unique taste.
If you want something light, you must try ajoblanco, which is a cooler made of almonds, garlic, olive oil and bread, often served with grapes.
For dessert, be sure to try tortas de aceite – thin, crispy olive oil pies, often sprinkled with sugar and anise. It is a traditional snack that is served to coffee or tea.
We also have something for lovers of seafood – ritura malagueña – a fried mixture of fish, squid and shrimp, served in a light coating. This dish is typical of Malaga.
If you like the sun, beautiful beaches and delicious cuisine, do not wait – just pack up, book a flight and fly with Vueling ropes to the beautiful Malaga!!!!
